Breaking News: Iowa State land commitment for another standout star

Iowa State has added Illinois transfer Sydney Malott to the 2025 roster. The player join the Cyclones with two seasons of eligibility left.

Malott is Iowa State’s first addition through the transfer portal since Sophie Maras came in May 2022.

Malott, along with an eight-player freshmen class, will try to replace 11 Cyclones from last season’s team.

“We are thrilled to have Sydney join our program. She’s an accomplished player who will contribute to our roster. She has played many positions in college and will aid our squad at all infield positions, including catcher. Sydney will also play an important part in providing leadership for our youthful roster.”
