Both are three-star prospects. Bridges-Brooks has offers from several power conference colleges.
UConn football’s class of 2025 recruiting is off to a promising start as the coaching staff acquired the commitments of two defensive backs: Axavier Bridges-Brooks and Saxton Suchanic.
Bridges-Brooks, a defensive back from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is a three-star prospect according to On3, Rivals, and 247 Sports. He received offers from numerous Power 4 schools, including Syracuse, Boston College, Minnesota, and Penn State, before committing to the Huskies.

Bridges-Brooks has a huge build for a defensive back, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 195 pounds. He surprised evaluators with solid performances at national and regional camps this offseason and can play anywhere in the defensive backfield.
According to Rivals, Suchanic is a three-star recruit from York, Pennsylvania. He had offers from Iowa State, Kent State, and other FCS colleges.
UConn hosted numerous other potential commits over Father’s Day weekend, so we may see several more future Huskies commit as the week progresses.
