BREAKING: Alabama land commitment for another top talented star

Alabama football received its third offensive line commitment for the 2025 recruiting class. Jackson Lloyd, a tackle recruit, announced his pledge on an official visit to Tuscaloosa.

Lloyd is a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He plays high school football in Carmel, California.Lloyd, who stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 290 pounds, is ranked as the No. 19 offensive tackle in the 2025 class by the 247 composite, and 187th overall. Lloyd also plays basketball and baseball at Carmel.

“The length jumps out, moves well, and is a physical player,” 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins stated in his evaluation of Lloyd. “Gets to the second level and consistently takes LBs/DBs off the screen, putting people on their backs. Is capable of just manhandling high-school students. Still plays high at times and has the potential to improve his short-area quickness, but he has all of the athletic tools you’d expect. He has a nice nasty streak and plays through the whistle.”

Lloyd picked Alabama over Florida, Ohio State, and Michigan State, among other options. He was one of the first players given by new Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer when he arrived in Tuscaloosa in January.

He got Alabama’s 17th commitment for the 2025 class. The group includes Central-Phenix City tackle Mal Waldrep and Pennsylvania IOL prospect Michael Carroll.

Alabama’s recruiting class presently ranks third in the 247Sports composite ratings. Only Ohio State and Notre Dame are rated higher than the Crimson Tide.
