Breaking: Another top talented star decommits from USC

The five-star defensive lineman, decommitted from Southern California’s 2025 class on Wednesday, becoming the second top prospect to change his mind in as many days.

Isaiah Gibson, a five-star defensive end, called off his promise on Tuesday.

Terry shared his plans on social media on Wednesday.

“My recruitment is open!! Terry wrote on X (previously Twitter): “#Decommitted #1shot, #Givemeeverythingyougot.”

Terry’s commitment to coaching Lincoln Riley’s Trojans was short-lived. He had been committed to in-state Georgia since January 16, 2023, but changed his mind on March 24 and chose USC instead.

Terry, a Manchester, Ga. native, is the No. 2 defensive lineman and No. 7 overall player in the country, according to the 247Sports composite.

The composite ranks Gibson, a Warner Robins, Ga. native, as the No. 2 edge rusher and No. 36 overall player in his class.

Julian Lewis, another Georgia product, is the No. 2 quarterback and No. 9 overall prospect in the 2025 class. He remains committed to USC.

With Terry and Gibson’s decommitments, USC’s class plummeted from third to fifteenth in the national rankings.

According to 247Sports, Ohio State maintains the top-ranked class of 2025, followed by Notre Dame and Alabama.
