USC Receive Ground Breaking News

After five years on AM 790 KABC, USC Trojans football and basketball will return to ESPN Los Angeles 710.

Monday afternoon, the school issued a press release and posted the news on X.
USC football began airing on ESPN LA in 2006 before negotiating a five-year arrangement with KABC.

The Trojans football team’s homecoming comes at an exciting moment, as they prepare to play their first season in the Big Ten. Furthermore, the men’s basketball team will play their first season under new head coach Eric Musselman, and for the first time, the women’s basketball games will be broadcast on radio, as 2024 First Team All-American guard JuJu Watkins looks to build on a fantastic freshman season that saw the team reach the Elite Eight for the first time since 1994.

“We’re excited to collaborate with ESPN LA 710 AM to advance the USC Athletics brand and connect with fans across the Greater Los Angeles media market,” USC Athletic Director Jen Cohen said in a statement. “As we embark on a new age of Trojan Athletics, choosing partners who can assist us in providing our student-athletes with a platform to make their impact on collegiate athletics and reach new generations of supporters is vital.

We’re certain that this agreement will help us achieve our goals, from adding play-by-play coverage for our women’s basketball program and Spanish-language football coverage to ESPN Radio’s reach and brand equity in Los Angeles.”
