UNC extends offer to special guard
Following recent interest in this four-star prospect, the UNC basketball team has officially made an offer to him.
Acaden Lewis, a four-star combo guard in the Class of 2025, has been officially recruited by the UNC basketball program.
After expressing interest in Lewis recently, the Tar Heels have officially offered him a scholarship. The Washington, DC native took to social media to announce his latest offer from North Carolina.
Lewis is presently ranked as the No. 72 overall prospect in the Class of 2025 (per 247Sports Composite), but this could change when the next set of rankings are announced. Given the recent surge in interest, don’t be shocked to see the 6-foot-2 guard soar up the rankings.
The UNC basketball program wasn’t the only one to send an offer to Lewis on Wednesday; the Tennessee Volunteers did as well, only hours later. In recent weeks, Louisville, Georgia Tech, and Miami have all offered this rising star, with more expected in the coming weeks.

Hubert Davis was in Orlando, Florida, for the NBPA event at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on the Walt Disney World campus, where he saw Lewis and fellow UNC basketball recruiting target Malachi Moreno in action.
After watching Lewis perform live again, the Tar Heels’ head coach was convinced that this was a player he wanted to bring to Chapel Hill.
The Tar Heels were successful in recruiting during the early years of the Hubert Davis era, and this entering class includes two of the country’s top-20 talents. North Carolina, with a system that allows guards to play freely and with a lot of pace, might be an appealing landing site for Lewis as he considers his options over the next several months.
