USC joins the final group for three-star 2025 WR Corey Simms.
Three-star 2025 Saint Louis (Mo.) wide receiver Corey Simms named the Trojans one of his final three colleges on Wednesday, setting a commitment date of June 30th, according to Hayes Fawcett. USC was joined by Penn State and Missouri. Simms recently had an official visit to USC.
“USC really left a great impression on my family,” Simms stated following his official visit. “It felt like home and most importantly, I can vision myself being a future Trojan.”
Simms was scheduled to visit Nebraska this weekend and had already visited Penn State earlier this month. Missouri will be his final formal stop before his commitment.
Simms, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 195 pounds, is a four-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite, ranking 262nd overall and 32nd among receivers in the class. According to 247Sports, he is a three-star prospect and the No. 52 wide receiver. Simms has over 40 offers from Georgia, Iowa, Miami, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee, and Ole Miss.
Simms was offered a position at USC in early 2024, and he arrived on campus for his first unofficial visit.
Simms helped Christian Brothers College capture the state championship this autumn, totaling 79 receptions for 1,049 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also had two interceptions on defense, including a Pick-6.
Romero Ison, a three-star pass catcher from Baltimore (Md.), has committed to the Trojans’ 2025 class as a receiver. Overall, USC has 13 pledges and is ranked fifth in the nation. USC signed one receiver in its 2024 recruiting class.
