Aaron Judge’s decision has caused a major change for the Yankees

Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees superstar, has made a career out of hitting home runs. However, he may have a second career in the fashion industry, as the slugger’s need for new clothes prompted the Bronx Bombers to replace their road outfits this season.

According to AP reporter Ronald Blum, Judge got the idea after wearing a throwback uniform at the 2021 Field of Dreams game. The outfielder then recommended adopting the classic style, which removes white outlines around the writing and piping around the sleeves, into the Yankees’ uniform.

“I honestly simply asked if we could wear it as an alternate. “I like the look and feel of it,” Judge told Blum. “I didn’t expect for it to be our away jerseys.”

The Yankees’ front office was hesitant to reply to Judge’s request, but he set the corporate bureaucracy in action, beginning with the team’s equipment manager, Robert Cucuzza.

“He says, ‘This is what we should be wearing,'” Cucuzza informed Blum. “I answered, ‘Well, if you’re serious, I’ll get a sample prepared. “It requires ownership approval, and we’ll see where it goes.”

Three years later, the Bombers are finally wearing the throwback uniforms—and they’re winning like some of the great Yankees teams who wore them from 1931 to 1972.

New York has won 26 of its first 37 road games this season, resulting in an MLB-best 48-21 overall record.

Perhaps the Captain can persuade the Yankees to waive their strict clothing code and buy a City Connect jersey next time.
