Breaking: Wisconsin Lands Commitment For Another Talented Star

The Badgers have gained another commitment to their extremely impressive 2025 class. This time, it’s tight end Nizyi Davis.
Davis, the Badgers’ first tight end and 16th overall commitment for 2025, picked Wisconsin over Purdue, Indiana, and other offers. Davis announced his decision on an official visit this week.

The Indianapolis native, listed at 6’4″ and 215 pounds, was the 36th overall tight end and the 11th rated Indiana player. This previous season, he caught 30 passes for 440 yards and five touchdowns.

Luke Fickell and crew have had a fantastic summer and will continue to improve the 13th-ranked 2025 class.

Major Wisconsin Football Target Sets Commitment Date

Mason Posa, La Cueva, Linebacker

Mason Posa, a highly ranked linebacker, could be on Wisconsin’s commitment watch list.

The Wisconsin football team welcomed 4-star linebacker Mason Posa (Albuquerque, NM) as part of their massive recruiting weekend on June 1-2. That weekend produced several commitments, including 4-star offensive tackle Logan Powell and 3-star cornerback Rukeem Stroud.

The Badgers are hoping the weekend continues to deliver for them, with Posa slated to make his commitment on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Central Time.

Following his visit to the Wisconsin football team, everything appeared to be quite favorable and even heading in the Badgers’ favor. Currently, the Wisconsin target has two crystal ball predictions on 247Sports, both in favor of the Badgers. Granted, the projections come from Badger247 gurus Nick Osen and Evan Flood, but the fact that there are no forecasts for Oregon or Texas A&M, his other final teams, should give Wisconsin supporters some comfort.

Posa returned from an official visit to Oregon last weekend. He is scheduled to make an official visit to Texas A&M on June 21st.

Because he is making his decision before visiting College Station, it is likely that his choice will be between Wisconsin and Oregon.

Posa is the 224th overall prospect in the country, the 27th-ranked linebacker, and New Mexico’s best prospect, according to the 247Sports composite. Posa’s pledge would maintain the Wisconsin football team ranked 13th in the country in recruiting class rankings, but it would narrow the gap with Rutgers for No. 12. He would also succeed Logan Powell as the Badgers’ top recruit, according to 247Sports’ Top247 rankings.
