It’s been a big weekend for USC Trojans football. Head coach Lincoln Riley continues to bolster his recruiting class with numerous fresh recruits eager to play collegiate football in the gorgeous sunshine of Southern California.
On Sunday, the Trojans received another commitment from a young, promising prospect, but many who follow local California high school football have been keeping an eye on four-star EDGE rusher Hayden Lowe for years.
Locals can now keep track of Lowe’s career with the Trojans owing to his decision to commit to USC.
Lowe, a 6-foot-5, 256-pound pass rusher/outside linebacker from Westlake Village, California, was ranked as the 19th-best EDGE in the country and the 23rd-best player in the state by 247sports.
Greg Biggins, national recruiting analyst for 247sports, breaks down the newest member of the Trojans.

“Lowe is one of the finest edge rushers in the 2025 class. He has tremendous long-term potential and is an easy talent to forecast. He has a prototypical 6-4, 240-pound build, and his long-term prospects are promising. He has long arms, is an excellent athlete, and can play anywhere on the defensive line.
He has the build to easily add another 20-25 pounds while maintaining his athleticism. He’s a naturally strong kid who can take on double teams while still moving up the field. He’s equally adept at running and pressuring the passer, and he plays with a terrific edge. He possesses a powerful first stride and can dive and pivot to easily avoid most tackles.
He comes from the same program that produced former Oregon and New York Giants first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux, and his coaches at Oaks believe his potential is just as high.”
If he can keep bulking up while learning the intricacies of being a pass rusher, the Trojans may have a potential star on their hands. He also garnered interest from Texas, Washington, and UCLA.
