Breaking: Louisville Beat Rivals to Land Another Top Commitment

Louisville has acquired the commitment of Male High School three-star talent Antonio Harris.

Louisville Male High defensive back Antonio Harris, a long-time target of the Louisville coaching staff, has committed to the Cards. Harris made the decision during his official visit over the weekend.

The three-star prospect becomes the tenth member of Louisville’s 2025 recruiting class. He is the third in-state commit to the Cardinals, behind North Oldham offensive lineman Gradey Anthony and Ryle High defensive lineman Dillon Smith.

Harris chose the Cardinals over other scholarship offers from Ball State, Buffalo, East Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky, Marshall, Miami of Ohio, Purdue, and Western Kentucky.

Harris, a 6-foot, 170-pound cornerback, is the son of former Louisville linebacker Nate Harris and the nephew of former Louisville running back Doug Beaumont. The rising three-star prospect is well-versed in the program.

Harris has long been a University of Louisville target, and he was one of the first underclassmen the new staff contacted. Throughout the recruitment process, University of Louisville coaches, notably running back coach and Male High alum Chris Barclay, paid visits to Harris’ school.

Harris’ most recent visit to Louisville came in January for the program’s Junior Day.

“The visit was good,” Harris stated at the time. “It was great to be able to move around the coaches and have one-on-one chats with them. I wanted to have enough time to explore the property and get to know the staff on a deeper level. It’s always nice to be with them, and I hope to continue the friendship and see what happens next.”

Harris, who is typically ignored by opposing attacks, recorded 15 tackles and two interceptions as a junior. He finished second on the squad with 25 receptions for 620 yards and 11 touchdowns.
