BREAKING: Louisville land commitment for another talented star

Jaylin Brown, a running back from Cardinal Newman in West Palm Beach, Florida, has committed to Louisville.

Jaylin Brown, a running back from Cardinal Newman High in West Palm Beach, Florida, has committed to Louisville. His decision comes barely a week after his official visit with the Cardinals.

Brown made an announcement for the Cardinals live on Instagram.

When he received a scholarship offer from Louisville, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Brown expressed his interest swiftly.

His official visit occurred fewer than three weeks after UofL assistant Chris Barclay presented the offer. Brown has joined Louisville’s 2025 recruiting class as the ninth member, only days after his visit. Brown becomes the third official visitor to pledge, following linebacker Caleb Matelau and wide receiver Lebron Hill.

Brown earned All-County accolades as a junior at Cardinal Newman, rushing for over 900 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has ran for over 1,700 yards in three seasons.

 

2025 Running Back Jaylin Brown Commits to Louisville Football

 

The three-star recruit has the kind of pace that makes him a danger to go the distance at any time. He ran a 4.49 in the 40 and recently qualified for the Florida state championships with a 10.88 in the 100.

In addition to Louisville, Brown has received offers from Appalachian State, Boston College, Charlotte, Connecticut, Georgia Tech, James Madison, Kentucky, Liberty, Minnesota, NC State, Tulane, Western Michigan, and others.

Brown is ranked No. 92 in the national running back rankings by 247Sports, while the industry-generated Composite ranks him No. 82. He has an 86 grade from 247Sports.
