Syracuse Lands Commitment for Another Top Exceptional Star

The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball program has signed Georgia State guard Lucas Taylor via the transfer portal, according to Mike Waters of Syracuse.com. Taylor tweeted a photo in response to the news.

Taylor visited Syracuse this week and made a decision there, according to Waters. Adrian Autry will add another shooter to his lineup, as Taylor averaged 14.5 points per game at Georgia State and shot 34.5 percent from the field.

He grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, and attended Wake Forest for his first two seasons of college basketball before transferring to Georgia State last year. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.

Taylor’s commitment to Syracuse gives Adrian Autry 11 scholarship players in 2024-25. He’s the fourth player to join the Orange this offseason, following Eddie Lampkin, Jaquan Carlos, and Jyare Davis. Taylor will join a guard group at Syracuse that includes JJ Starling, Chance Westry, Kyle Cuffe, Carlos, and Elijah Moore.
