Oregon State soccer coach Lauren Sinacola has resigned

Beavers Welcome New Head Coach Lauren Sinacola - Oregon State University Athletics

Lauren Sinacola, Oregon State’s women’s soccer coach, has resigned after three years, the school announced Wednesday.

Sinacola became Oregon State’s first female coach in women’s soccer when she was hired in July 2021. There was no reason given for her resignation.

Sinacola is the second Oregon State women’s coach to resign in the last week. Kate Maxim, the women’s rowing coach, announced earlier this week that she is leaving the school after seven years there.

The Beavers finished 4-8-7, with a 1-6-4 Pac-12 record. In Sinacola’s first season as coach, Oregon State won 11 games, their most since 2012. Sinacola’s three-year OSU record was 20-25-12.

Oregon State is set to begin the 2024 season with an exhibition game against Oregon on August 4. The Beavers will play in the West Coast Conference this season.
