Another top Indiana transfer lands commitment with another team

Nicole “Coco” Kolbas, a transfer who competed for Indiana in her first collegiate season last year, has joined the Nevada Women’s Golf team under Head Coach Kathleen Takaishi.

“Coco had an outstanding amateur career and she had a solid freshman season for Indiana,” Takaishi stated. “She is an extremely skilled golfer with the ability to make an early impact on our program this season. I am overjoyed that she has chosen to join the Wolf Pack family, and we look forward to welcoming her to campus this fall.”

Kolbas decided to attend Indiana for her freshman year following a successful amateur career.

During her rookie season, she competed in four events for the Hoosiers, finishing with a 78.0 scoring average. Kolbas had her best finish of the year in the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational, finishing tied for 55th overall with +18 (78-77-79=234).
