Breaking: Wisconsin Set to Land Another Major Commitment Following Official Visit

After recently designating Wisconsin as one of his top three programs, a major recruit is allegedly close to making a decision.
Mason Posa, a four-star 2025 linebacker from New Mexico, has been a top target for the Wisconsin football team. The linebacker has three expert predictions to join the Badgers, and after revealing his top three institutions, he could be close to a decision. Posa might be a significant addition to the Wisconsin football team if he commits to Madison.

The Wisconsin football staff has worked exceptionally hard throughout this recruiting cycle to get their top targets. In particular, the Badgers have worked extremely hard to find a player who fits the play style and philosophy of Wisconsin football.
Mason Posa, a 2025 four-star linebacker, has been on the Badgers’ radar for some time, and the Badgers are currently one of three colleges remaining in the competition. Posa, the 18th-ranked linebacker in the class, is presently the top recruit in New Mexico. The linebacker is widely regarded as one of the best playmakers available in the 2025 recruiting class.

Posa Could Offer Exceptional Defense, Leadership for the Wisconsin Badgers Football Program

Posa is a devastating tackling machine on the field who routinely works his way around the ballcarrier when the action is over. Posa, a wrestler and linebacker, stands 6-foot-3 inches tall and weighs 213 pounds. His build and play have surely got the attention of Head Coach Luke Fickell. The linebacker finished the season with 99 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and an interception.

The outstanding athlete is more than simply a linebacker; he is a versatile defensive menace on the football field. Posa can intercept the ball in man coverage, hit a running back for a forced fumble, or pursue the quarterback all over the backfield.

Posa’s athletic attributes and football knowledge allow him to have no real restrictions on defense.

Will the Wisconsin Football Staff Secure a Commitment From Their Top Target?

The Wisconsin Badgers football staff has done everything they can to land the linebacker, and now it’s a waiting game. Posa will make an official visit to the Oregon Ducks this weekend before traveling to Texas A&M two weeks later. The linebacker has plenty of time to deliberate about his decision and might make a commitment announcement before flying to Texas.

Distance has not been an impediment in Posa’s recruitment; rather, it has been a process of convincing the prospect that Wisconsin offers his greatest opportunity of joining the NFL. If the linebacker commits to the Badgers, the combination of Tackett Curtis and Posa might be a nightmare.
