Breaking: Wisconsin Make Offer To Land Commitment for Another Top Talent

The Wisconsin Badgers were identified as finalists for a three-star defensive lineman in the 2025 class.

Abu Tarawallie, Minnesota’s second-ranked player, took to social media to identify his top four, which included Wisconsin, Michigan State, Minnesota, and Kansas State.

Tarawallie is the country’s 696th best player and 72nd best defensive lineman in the 2025 cycle, according to the composite rankings.

The Heritage Christian Academy standout has also received offers from Penn State, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Iowa State. Wisconsin entered the mix in January, and it remains Tarawallie’s most recent offer.

He paid an unofficial visit to the University of Washington at the end of April and swiftly scheduled a formal visit for June 21. The three-star defensive linemen will also travel to Michigan State on June 7th and Minnesota on June 15th.

Until now, defensive coordinator Mike Tressel and defensive line coach EJ Whitlow have both played a significant role in Tarawallie’s recruitment. Greg Scruggs, the former defensive line coach, was also a main recruiter before transferring to Michigan.

Tarawallie is a high defensive line target at this point in the 2025 cycle. UW has also scheduled formal visits with other prospects, such as Kade Pietrzak, Drayden Pavey, and Wilnerson Telemaque.

The Wisconsin Badgers are still looking for their first defensive line commit for the 2025 cycle, but they already have 11 commitments and the No. 19 recruiting class in the country, according to the composite rankings.
