Breaking: Syracuse to land commitment for another special player

According to many recent media reports, New York City four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony, one of the hottest 2025 prospects on the AAU circuit this spring, has expressed a desire to return to Syracuse basketball, among other institutions.

The 6-foot-5 Anthony, who was given a scholarship by the Orange in November 2022, made an official visit to Syracuse in late October of last year. He has also made an official visit to Florida State University, another Atlantic Coast Conference school.

In a recent interview with top writer Charlie Parent on zagsblog.com, Anthony stated that he plans to make many more campus trips after the summer, narrow his list of contenders in the near future, and finalize his college decision in November or December.

Anthony plans to return to Syracuse basketball and Florida State, as well as visits to Arizona State, which recently offered him, Indiana, Tennessee, and Auburn, if the Tigers offer him. Auburn is currently expressing interest in him.

According to other recent rumors from recruiting gurus, Anthony intends to return to Syracuse while also visiting Indiana and Tennessee.

Syracuse basketball will likely get another visit from 2025 four-star priority target Kiyan Anthony.

According to 247Sports, Anthony has received over 20 scholarship offers throughout his recruitment. Given how well Anthony has played this spring in grassroots basketball, I wouldn’t be surprised if additional high-major offers come his way.

Without a doubt, Syracuse basketball is one of his favorites, if not the best. Furthermore, Orange coaches obviously see Anthony as one of their top priorities in the 2025 recruiting class.

Last weekend, during the NCAA live time, the Syracuse basketball staff attended a handful of Anthony’s games as he played at an elite level for the 17U squad of Baltimore-based Team Melo in Nike’s EYBL league, which held a session in Indianapolis.

Anthony has proven to be a top-10 scorer in the 17U class after three EYBL sessions, with a fourth scheduled for this weekend. He averages more than 20 points per game.

Anthony, a rising senior at Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, New York, is the No. 29 national prospect for the 2025 cycle, according to On3.

Both the 247Sports Composite and the On3 Industry Ranking, which are industry-generated ranking systems, rank him in the top 40 in his class across the country.

As a result, all of the major recruiting services rank Anthony as a top-10 shooting guard and the top prospect in New York state.
