On May 17, Mike Roach of 247Sports reported that Texas football’s five-star wide receiver priority target Dakorien Moore had scheduled an official visit for the summer. Moore has three colleges in mind for official visits after making ripples in the college football recruiting market with his decommitment from the LSU Tigers on May 16.
Texas football schedules mid-June official visit with elite WR Dakorien Moore
In late May and June, the best wide receiver recruit from Duncanville (TX) will make official visits to three schools: Ohio State, the Oregon Ducks and Texas. Here is his whole official visit schedule for the summer.
Ohio State: May 31
Texas: June 14
Oregon: June 21
Moore was originally set to have an official visit to LSU this summer. However, it appears that the visit will be canceled because LSU is no longer in the running for this recruiting.
Moore said on his X account on May 17 that his recruitment is not available. He is anticipated to choose between Ohio State, Texas, and Oregon before beginning his senior season at Duncanville.
Texas is evidently attempting to persuade him to cancel his recruitment during his formal visit in mid-June. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns have been aggressively recruiting Moore since the beginning of his high school football career.
Sarkisian and wide receivers coach Chris Jackson have maintained close communication with Moore. The nation’s top wide receiver prospect in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry Ranking, also has a great relationship with special assistant Chris Gilbert.
It is also worth noting that many of Moore’s family members still reside in Austin, and he has strong ties to the city.
