Breaking: Indiana Hoosiers officially lands commitment for another ‘talented’ star

Langdon Hatton, a Bellarmine transfer, made his commitment to Indiana today.

Hatton, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward from Georgetown, Indiana, has one more season of eligibility.

Hatton attended North Harrison High School and began his career at William & Mary before moving to Bellarmine for the final two seasons. Last season, under Scott Davenport at Bellarmine, he averaged 10.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

Hatton, a data science major, was chosen academic All-ASUN in early March with a 3.89 overall GPA.

Hatton has 94 career games at William & Mary and Bellarmine, averaging 6.1 points and four rebounds per game with a 49.1 field goal %. His career high scoring performance was 27 points in a 96-95 overtime victory over Kennesaw State on February 1, 2024.

Hatton’s 2023-24 season was easily his most fruitful of his career. He started all 31 games for Bellarmine, shooting 50.9 percent on twos and 33.3 percent on threes. He averaged two offensive rebounds per game and blocked 24 shots.

He finished 13th in the ASUN in offensive rebounding %, 12th in defensive rebounding percentage, and 14th in block percentage.

Hatton is 18-for-55 on three-pointers in his career (32.7 percent) and 62.7 percent free-throw shooter (169 attempts).

He is anticipated to be a backup in the Indiana frontcourt behind Malik Reneau and Oumar Ballo.

Hatton joins Myles Rice, Kanaan Carlyle, Oumar Ballo, Luke Goode, and Bryson Tucker as newcomers to Indiana’s 2024-25 roster. The Hoosiers still have one scholarship available.

2022-23 – Sophomore

ASUN Honor Roll Recipient…During his first season at Bellarmine, he played in all 33 games, including six starts, and averaged around 13 minutes per game. Averaged 3.5 points and 2.3 rebounds, finishing second on the team in total blocks (10) and shooting at 58.0 percent from the field. In ASUN play, I shot 65.2% (30/46).On November 9, he made his Bellarmine debut against Louisville and scored seven points, three rebounds, two assists, and one block. On February 11, he scored 14 points, blocked three shots, hit six field goals, and grabbed eight rebounds against Queens.

During the Queens game and previous games against Jacksonville State and Liberty, he shot 14-for-17 from the field.In both the regular-season finale and first round of the ASUN Tournament versus North Florida, he went 8-for-9 from the field, scoring eight points, eight rebounds, and two blocks. Recorded seven or more rebounds in four games, including a season-high nine against Wabash on December 6.On November 14, he distributed a season-high three assists against Campbellsville Harrodsburg. On February 19, he hit six of eight free throws and scored 12 points against Central Arkansas.
