The Bills made a few roster changes on Thursday morning.
They have added defensive back Dee Delaney to the 90-man roster. It’s a one-year contract with no other stipulations announced.
Delaney spent 2019 in Washington and 2018 in Jacksonville. Over his five-year career, the former Buc has three interceptions, seven passes defensed, 71 total tackles, and three tackles for loss in 52 games.
In 2018, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Delaney as an undrafted free agent. The safety attended college at The Citadel and Miami. He’s from Beaufort, South Carolina.
Delaney has spent the last three seasons with the Buccaneers. During his stay in Tampa, he played 49 regular-season games and started five of them. He recorded 71 tackles and three interceptions in those games.
Delaney totaled two tackles in five playoff games.
Delaney’s roster slot was created when the Bills released wide receiver Quintez Cephus. Cephus signed with the Bills in late April after the NFL reinstated his gambling suspension, which had kept him off the field until 2023.
