Bills Rookie WR Keon Coleman Sends 4-Word Message to Rival Chiefs

Keon Coleman has only been with the Buffalo Bills for a few days, but the rookie wide receiver is already researching the team’s major rivals.

Coleman opened up in an interview with Robert Griffin III on the “RG3 and The Ones” podcast, describing his eagerness to begin working with the club and getting to know his new colleagues. When questioned about the team’s major rivals, Coleman singled out the Kansas City Chiefs and conveyed a four-word message to them.

“Everyone can get it,” Coleman stated, adding, “All of them.”

Keon Coleman Ready for Rivalries

The rookie receiver has received some viral notoriety for his free-spirited interviews, including one in which he began by bragging about a coat he acquired on sale at Macy’s. Coleman has also shown his enthusiasm for the team, telling Griffin that he is ready to rally with his teammates against some of the club’s opponents.

“[When] I get put into it, I’m all in,” Coleman said. “I ride for my teammates.”

Coleman has also met Bills fans and expressed an interest in participating in what has become one of the most popular tailgate rituals.

“I hope they’ll let me jump through a table,” Coleman said Griffin. “I want to do it real bad.”

Coleman is anticipated to play a significant role in Buffalo, particularly after the team sold top receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans and lost No. 2 receiver Gabe Davis to free agency. According to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, Coleman and free agent addition Curtis Samuel will have to work hard to fill the vacuum left by Diggs and Davis’ departures.

Buscaglia stated that taking on that degree of responsibility could be a daunting undertaking for a rookie like Coleman.

“The Bills will need Coleman or Samuel to step up in a big way besides [Khalil] Shakir,” Buscaglia stated in an email. “Coleman has a lot of potential, though asking a 21-year-old to produce in a way he never has at a higher level of football seems like asking for too much, too soon.”

Rookie Receiver Already Fitting In

The team’s choice to choose Coleman with the first pick in the NFL Draft’s second round pleased one very important stakeholder in Buffalo: Bills quarterback Josh Allen. In an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Bills general manager Brandon Beane stated that Allen watched film on various receivers and had a favorable impression of the Florida State pass-catcher.

“And he genuinely liked several of the guys. But Keon was one, and I know he liked him a lot,” Beane explained. “And Josh and I didn’t really communicate on Thursday. Perhaps he came by that morning. But the following day, Friday am, he FaceTimed me. Actually, I was still at home before coming in here.

And he said, ‘What are you thinking?’ And I answered, ‘Well, until someone blows me away, I am going to take Keon.’ And he was pretty excited.”
