Anthony Edwards’ three-word statement will make fans wonder.
The Minnesota Timberwolves recently completed a four-game sweep of the Phoenix Suns, and the quiet, calm, and collected side of Wolves star Anthony Edwards is becoming increasingly well-known. Edwards sent a planned three-word statement that may have indicated his genuine sentiments about easily defeating Kevin Durant’s high-profile squad.
The message came alongside a hype video of Karl-Anthony Towns, which will get Timberwolves supporters excited for the game. Timberwolves Coach Chris Finch’s surgery has further complicated the Nuggets matchup.
Suns fans will dislike Edwards’ recent swagger, but Timberwolves fans will most likely feel the opposite.
Edwards’ Three-Word Message
Edwards posted the statement on X, and it has been viewed more than 350,000 times since its release. It contains photographs of the series from a significantly Timberwolves-slanted perspective and is a striking statement from a player who is gaining confidence by the week.
“Lock in twin, 12 more,” one fan wrote on X in response.
Other fans shared videos of Edwards enjoying the conclusion of a recent game.
Edwards’ polished, ultra-athletic, high-octane yet controlled playing style left fans wondering what the Wolves could become in the near future.

Timberwolves, Nuggets Ready For Battle
The Timberwolves and reigning champion Nuggets will face off this weekend, on Saturday, May 4 in Denver. The Nuggets are the second seed, while Edwards and Chris Finch’s team is the third seed.
The Nuggets’ home court advantage proved difficult to overcome, given the high altitude and the Nuggets’ youth and experience at various positions. The Timberwolves’ game against the Suns was promoted as “young vs. old,” a claim based primarily on Suns player Kevin Durant’s advanced age.
One thing is certain: the Timberwolves will need to put in an even greater effort than they did against the Suns, and Edwards will have to maintain his dominant play, which may be more difficult against a good Denver backcourt.
Edwards’ confidence borders on arrogance. He will face Jamal Murray, the Nuggets guard who hammered two game-winning shots with much difficulty this week. Expect must-see TV and plenty more one-liners from Edwards throughout the series, especially if the Timberwolves continue to dominate.
