Miami Heat Reportedly Land All-Star Forward in Massive Trade

Following a first-round sweep by the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Phoenix Suns will have little choice but to consider their future.

You would expect the Suns would want to maintain their core intact as they seek to repeat their success with the same bunch. The fact, however, is that they may not have Kevin Durant on their roster next season.

Phoenix Suns News: Kevin Durant to the Heat?

You can’t blame supporters for questioning Durant’s commitment to the Suns, especially given how the season ended for them. After all, KD has switched ship several times during the last few years. Could this happen again in Phoenix this summer?

According to an unknown Western Conference executive, this is a real possibility. In fact, he has highlighted the Miami Head as a potential landing location for Durant if he decides to end his Suns career:

“There are a few teams that should come up,” the unnamed executive told Sean Deveney of Heavy.com. “The Heat would be a favorite.”

The executive did not go into detail about what a blockbuster deal between the Suns and the Heat could look like, but considering the size of this potential trade, you can bet it would transform the NBA landscape.

For what it’s worth, KD is still signed with Phoenix until 2026, implying that Miami will have to give up a lot to bring the former NBA MVP to South Beach.
