Heat star Jimmy Butler trolls Jaylen Brown and Celtics on IG post after Miami’s Game 2 win

Jimmy Butler was out injured on Wednesday night during the Miami Heat’s 111-101 victory over the Boston Celtics in the 2024 NBA playoffs, but his presence was felt.

Butler, the Heat star, mocked Jaylen Brown and the Celtics on an Instagram post “Don’t let us get one” with the caption,

“Feeling cute might be deleted later. sikeeeee I ain’t deleting s***.”

Brown’s “don’t let us get one” statement came during the 2023 playoffs, when Boston trailed Butler and the Heat 0-3 in the Eastern Conference Finals.

They had told Miami that they only needed one win to flip the series around, and the Celtics won three straight games before Miami won Game 7 in Boston to advance to the NBA Finals.

The Celtics entered the 2024 NBA playoffs as the top overall seed and heavy favorites in the first round series, but they gave up 22 3-pointers in Game 1. Miami defeated Boston in Game 2 with a franchise playoff record 23 three-pointers.

Butler suffered an MCL tear in his right knee during the Heat’s Play-In Tournament loss to the Philadelphia 76ers last week.

During his injury, the Heat lost 114-94 in Game 1 in Boston, but they rebounded on Wednesday, with Tyler Herro leading the Heat with 24 points and 14 assists in Game 2.

The Heat made 23 of 43 three-pointers, the most in a postseason game in franchise history.

Butler will be sidelined for Game 3 and possibly more, as it is planned at Kaseya Center.
