According to reports, AC Milan and other teams have expressed interest in Feyenoord defender David Hancko, but the asking price is hefty.
Milan’s defensive sector has been the most stressed this season, with a slew of injuries throwing Stefano Pioli’s side into a panic at various stages and leading to a terrible overall record. As a result, an investment in a centre-back is anticipated.
Simon Kjaer’s contract is up and he could go, while Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw have been connected with moves, with the latter gaining Real Madrid’s interest. Alessandro Buongiorno and Giorgio Scalvini have been identified as potential targets.
According to TMW, Milan is keeping an eye on David Hancko, a Czech defender who has spent the previous two seasons with Feyenoord, where he won the league in 2022-23.
Last summer, the former Sparta Praha and Fiorentina midfielder caught the attention of Napoli, who are still interested in him, but the €25 million value plus bonuses scared off Partenopei and other interested parties.
Given Hancko’s superb achievements this season, Feyenoord could potentially ask for €40 million to sell him in the summer transfer window, a very expensive amount – especially with bonuses included – but one on which the Dutch side appears to be willing to negotiate, if marginally.
The scenario is complicated by the fact that Feyenoord has received calls from numerous clubs in recent weeks. Even huge names in Europe will compete for the Champions League title next season.
