It’s been an interesting season for Tottenham Hotspur under Ange Postecoglou, with the Australian still having his team in the mix for the Champions League positions as we enter the last knockings of the Premier League season.
After Antonio Conte departed Tottenham, nearly anyone would have been a better manager than the prickly and overly defensive Italian.
Postecoglou not only came in and launched a charm attack with the media, but he also had Tottenham’s players and supporters eating out of his hand.
Tottenham have offered Hojbjerg to Milan
Despite a few disappointing performances and results, Spurs have been a lot more entertaining to watch this season, and if they can finish the 2023/24 season by qualifying for the elite European competition, it will be a big success.
For other players, however, this season has been an exercise in gritting your teeth, putting your head down and training hard, and then giving it your all when the opportunity arises.
For Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, that hasn’t happened very often.
According to WhoScored, the Danish midfielder has made 31 Premier League appearances with the Lilywhites, however he has only played the full 90 minutes six times.
Indeed, he has only played a complete game three times since early November.
It’s understandable that the 28-year-old would be upset by the turn of events, and according to Calciomercato (h/t The Boy Hotspur), the North Londoners have now offered him to Italian heavyweights AC Milan.
Hojbjerg is sure to jump at the chance to move away, but it may not be to the Rossoneri, as the source states Milan is not interested.
Financial and age concerns may prevent the Serie A team from accepting Tottenham’s offer.
