Sunderland will host Millwall in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Sunderland return to the Stadium of Light this weekend after a couple of good away outings.
Sunderland defeated West Brom 1-0 at The Hawthorns, following a 0-0 draw with Leeds United.
Mike Dodds’ team has now lost just one of their previous six Championship games and is unbeaten in three; they remain 13th in the league but are only a couple of points below Bristol City in 12th.
Millwall, led by Neil Harris, now have a six-point lead above the drop zone.
They have clearly improved in recent weeks and come into this game on the back of two consecutive wins, against Leicester City and then Cardiff City last time out.

Sunderland has 16 wins over Millwall in their history, 13 losses, and 12 draws.
The reverse encounter between these two sides was a 1-1 draw at The Den in December, Tony Mowbray’s final game in charge of the club.
The last time these two sides faced on Wearside was in December 2022, and the Black Cats won 3-0 thanks to goals from Amad Diallo, Alex Pritchard, and Ellis Simms.
The Lions have not won at the Stadium of Light since 2004, and that was also the last time Millwall defeated Sunderland.
Four of the previous five encounters between the Black Cats and Millwall have finished in draws.

Despite Millwall’s terrible recent record against Sunderland and away at the Stadium of Light, Sky Sports commentator David Prutton believes the Lions will prevail this Saturday.
He predicts a 1-0 victory for Harris’ men, which might mathematically secure their Championship status for another year, depending on other outcomes.
A win for Sunderland, meanwhile, might propel them into the top half of the league.
Sunderland appeared to have turned a corner in their last few games.
Against Leeds and subsequently West Brom, the Black Cats looked considerably more assured in a back-five formation, with Callum Styles shining and demonstrating why he was brought in.
Sunderland currently has a bit of momentum.
They have a solid run of results to build on, which is something they haven’t had in a long time.
So, against Millwall, who have been awful this season but have been steady in recent weeks, Sunderland should win, albeit it will be difficult.
The Lions will undoubtedly defend and try to score on the break, with a 1-0 victory not surprising.
It would certainly take the wind out of Sunderland’s sails, but if they play as they have previously, they should win.
