24-year-old top striker does not rule out joining Milan

Canada international Jonathan David, who has been connected with Napoli, Milan, and Chelsea, maintains he is not thinking about the summer transfer market but refuses to rule out leaving Lille at the conclusion of the season.

The Canadian forward has surfaced as a potential transfer target for Serie A clubs Napoli and Milan, as well as Premier League side Chelsea. Napoli are planning to trade Osimhen in the summer, and David is one of their choices to replace the Nigeria international.

David gave an update on his future during his most recent interview with French media lavoixdunord.

“I have a year left on my contract and, frankly, I’m not thinking about it. There have been rumors in the past, but I will remain at Lille until I join with another club,” said the Canadian striker.

His contract with Lille expires in June 2025, but the striker is unaware of conversations between his agent and the club.

“I don’t know if the club has spoken to my agent,” he told reporters.

“Surely we’ll do it by the conclusion of the season. There are significant games left, and I want to concentrate on the pitch.”

Nikos Mavromaras, David’s representative, was photographed in Milan last week, although Italian sources denied he had met with any Serie A club, including Milan. David has 23 goals in 40 games in all competitions this season.
