AC Milan now in race to sign €40m-rated 24-year-old

Alessandro Buongiorno is expected to depart Torino during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to reports, and AC Milan is one of several teams interested in signing him.

Milan declared their interest in the Torino skipper during the January transfer window. However, club president Urbano Cairo did not want to sell his star in the middle of the season, despite the fact that the 24-year-old appears to be leaving in the summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via FcInterNews), there could be a three-way competition in Italy to sign Buongiorno, as Napoli has also expressed interest.

According to the article, Torino values him at €35-40 million, while Milan and city rivals Inter are also interested in him. In summary, the auction has already begun, and the potential inclusion of some overseas clubs must be considered.

Aurelio De Laurentiis also wants Mario Hermoso, who is on Inter’s radar, but the Spaniard’s salary demands are exorbitant because he will leave Atletico Madrid on a free transfer at the conclusion of the season.

Milan are preparing for the summer transfer window, and one of their top targets is to buy a centre-back. We revealed some evidence earlier this week about Giorgio Scalvini of Atalanta, who has come under fire.
