LSU to win commitment for Top 5 talent RB in the next 24 hours

Brian Kelly and Co. provide another Top 5 talent in the Bayou State, while Lindsey continues to climb the rankings.
LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson has been watching Alexandria Senior High (La.) star JT Lindsey’s development for a few months, and after a visit to Baton Rouge, he made the decision.

Wilson and the Tigers issued an offer to Lindsey, Louisiana’s No. 3 running back, as he finishes his offseason ahead of what many believe to be a dominant senior season.

Lindsey has shone throughout his high school career, becoming a national recruit during his junior year, and the LSU coaching staff has great hopes for keeping the standout running back in The Boot.

In their most recent update, On3 elevated Lindsey from unranked prospect to a Top 150 recruit in America, ranking him as the country’s No. 11 running back.

LSU currently has a commitment from the No. 1 running back in America, New Orleans’ five-star Harlem Berry, but it may not end there.

Wilson and the Tigers have also been actively chasing four-star running back and Top 150 prospect James Simon in recent months.

Now add Lindsey to the mix.

LSU’s motto remains the same: “The best in The Boot, stay in The Boot,” which is shown in their 2025 class thus far.

Louisiana has three of the top 12 running backs in the country in Berry, Simon, and Lindsey, but will WIlson and Co. pick three running backs in 2025? In a nutshell, certainly if it comes down to it.

Berry has already committed, and Wilson has now extended an offer to Lindsey, who is leaning toward LSU. He’ll be in Baton Rouge this weekend and is definitely on “Commit Watch” with the Tigers’ Spring Game coming up on Saturday.

For Simon, LSU brought the sought back to Death Valley in late March in the hopes that he would end his recruitment and declare a pledge, but Simon is still on the market and navigating a hectic spring of visits. It’s simple. If Simon wishes to become a Tiger, LSU will welcome him with open arms.

LSU remains focused on Lindsey, and LSU Country predicts that the Tigers will win a commitment from the Alexandria Senior High (La.) running back within the next 24 hours.

LSU’s 2025 class has the potential to transform the program for the foreseeable future, with commitments from the No. 1 quarterback (Bryce Underwood), No. 1 wide receiver (Dakorien Moore), and No. 1 running back (Harlem Berry), but more are likely to announce their commitments soon.
