Miami Dolphins Set to Sign Another Coach

The Dolphins are hiring a former University of Wisconsin assistant to help out on offense.
While the Miami Dolphins are finalizing their arrangements for the 2024 NFL draft, they also handled some business for their coaching staff.

According to FootballScoops.com, the team will make a late addition to Mike McDaniel’s staff by adding former University of North Carolina and Wisconsin assistant Rob Everett.

Everett will join the Dolphins as an offensive assistant after spending the previous season as a senior offensive analyst at Wisconsin. In the spring of 2019, he served as tight ends coach and assistant defensive coordinator for the Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football.

Everett joins incumbent Max McCaffrey, brother of 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and draft prospect Luke McCaffrey, as the fourth new offensive assistant hired this summer after Parks Frazier, Jonathan Krause, and Roman Sapolu.

Overall, the Dolphins will have 11 new coaches in 2024, with the remaining seven entirely on defense, beginning with new coordinator Anthony Weaver.

Others include linebackers/run game coordinator Joe Barry, pass game coordinator/secondary Brian Duker, outside linebackers coach Ryan Crow, assistant defensive line coach Kynjee’ Cotton, assistant DB coach DeShawn Shead, and defensive assistant Matt O’Donnell.

The Miami Dolphins’ offseason training begins on April 15.
