Hailing from Dutchtown High School in Geismar, Louisiana, Sampson wasn’t initially on the radar of many recruiters. Nonetheless, he committed to Tennessee in June 2021.
Although Sampson saw limited action in the 2023 season due to being behind NFL prospect Jaylen Wright, he made every opportunity count. Despite his limited touches, he managed to amass 604 yards and seven touchdowns on 106 carries, showcasing his talent whenever he was on the field.
