49ers Confirm the Addition of Former Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals Star For 2024 Season

The San Francisco 49ers have recently inked a one-year contract with Josh Dobbs, the former quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings. He will serve as the backup alongside Brandon Allen to Pro Bowl quarterback Brock Purdy.

Dobbs entered the NFL in 2017 as the 135th pick in the fourth round, selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers. After stints with the Steelers from 2017 to 2019, he briefly joined the Jacksonville Jaguars before returning to the Steelers in 2020. Dobbs has also been affiliated with various other teams including the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, and the Minnesota Vikings.
