Newcastle United now ready to sign 25-year-old Arsenal star

After an unsuccessful season for Newcastle United, the summer transfer window seems promising.

Although they may have to stay within their budget, the Magpies are expected to add quality players to their roster.

There are even rumors that Newcastle will have to let go of some of their greatest players in order to comply with FFP laws, allowing them to rebuild their team.

Newcastle United have been unlucky with injuries

Eddie Howe’s club has struggled this season due to injuries.

Injury has cost the Magpies several key players, notably goalie Nick Pope.

In his place, Martin Dubravka has done an excellent job. However, he is 35 years old, and Newcastle may look to move him as they prepare for the next phase of recruitment.

Newcastle have reportedly revived their interest in Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, according to the Daily Mail.

During the January transfer window, he was among the goalkeepers connected with a move to St. James’ Park, but the transaction was never completed.

Ramsdale signed for Arsenal in 2021 for a reputed £30 million. He impressed the Gunners, but manager Mikel Arteta chose to recruit David Raya on loan from Brentford.

The Spaniard has made a strong impact this season, and he is likely to make the move permanent during the summer transfer window.

Ramsdale can get playing time at Newcastle United

Ramsdale is eager to return to regular action after making only six Premier League appearances this season.

Newcastle are keen on bringing the 25-year-old goalkeeper to St. James’ Park as he considers his options.

Howe bought him for Bournemouth and knows him well because they have previously worked together.

He can now again give his best to Howe. Ramsdale is under contract with the Emirates for the foreseeable future, and any agreement may be dependant on Newcastle’s willingness to pay Arsenal’s asking price.
