According to sources in Italy, Milan striker Olivier Giroud has signed to an 18-month contract with LAFC in the MLS beginning in July 2024.
It is no secret that the veteran centre-forward will not renew his current contract with the Rossoneri, which is set to expire on June 30.
He is ready to finish his career with new experiences in the United States of America, and he is particularly interested in Los Angeles FC.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a basic agreement has been agreed for an 18-month contract that will begin on July 1, when he becomes a free agent.
He joined San Siro from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 for just under €3 million and has shown to be an excellent purchase, scoring 46 goals and providing 20 assists in 121 competitive games for the club.
However, he will turn 38 in September, and the Rossoneri must plan for the future with younger strikers.
Giroud demonstrated that he still has it when he scored in France’s 3-2 friendly victory over Chile on Tuesday evening, cementing his status as Les Bleus’ all-time leading scorer.
