Transfer latest: Milan to hold talks and sign ‘technically-gifted’ 23-year-old

AC Milan could have a busy summer transfer window, with various holes to fill, probably most notably the No.9 position. However, according to a report, the defence is also a priority given Simon Kjaer’s probable exit.

Kjaer’s contract will expire in the summer, and Milan is unlikely to renew it, as they are focused on renewing the department. According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, several targets have been pursued in recent months, with Maxence Lacroix standing out as one of the most concrete.

Milan, particularly Geoffrey Moncada and the scouring department, have watched the 23-year-old live several times in recent months.

Every impression was excellent, with his technical skill and leadership at such a young age standing out.

At 190cm tall, he’s difficult to beat in aerial duels, and Milan believes he has the potential to help the club. According to the report, Moncada will shortly begin conversations with the centre-back’s agent to assess the viability of a trade and to better grasp Wolfsburg’s stance.

Milan will also hope to escape the injury problems that plagued their defense this season, making Stefano Pioli’s job more difficult.
