Breaking: Milan now interested in signing defensive midfielder

AC Milan are set to make several additions this summer, with a midfield deal appearing to be one of the top priorities. As it has become evident, the Rossoneri may benefit from having a more defensive-minded player in their pair.

Milan has conceded far too many goals this season, and while the defensive has not been at its typical level, the midfield has not helped matters. The loss of Franck Kessie remains a source of concern for the Rossoneri, and a defensive midfielder may join this summer.

According to today’s issue of Tuttosport, as published by MilanNews, Milan has targeted three players for that position.

In addition to Sofyan Amrabat, who is presently on loan at Manchester United, the Rossoneri are keeping an eye on Renato Veiga (Basel) and Walace (Udinese).

Geoffrey Moncada, the technical director, and his scouting department have previously watched Veiga several times, pleased by his ability at the age of 20. Walace, 28, is an experienced Serie A midfielder who has frequently performed well for Udinese.

It appears that a large portion of Milan’s summer money will be spent on strikers.
