Last Wednesday, the Baltimore Ravens released veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. with a post-June 1 designation, thereby ending his stint with the team.
However, Beckham has stated that he will not be returning to the Ravens next season, writing a goodbye message to teammates and supporters on Instagram.
“Swea on everything, I appreciate the Flock more than you could ever understand. Did what I could wit the opportunities I had. I wish I could do it huge for you 💍. Thanks for the Vibez! To the city of Baltimore, I will fxck with you forever. And, most importantly, I love my brothers over there! Beckham wrote, “BiggestTruzzzz.”
Beckham, who signed a one-year contract with Baltimore last April, expressed remorse in his goodbye speech because he was unable to deliver a title to Ravens supporters.
The New Orleans native appeared in 14 Ravens games in 2023, recording 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
Most significantly, Beckham, who missed only two games with the Ravens in ’23 due to an ankle ailment, demonstrated to teams that he was healthy after missing the whole ’22 season mending a ruptured ACL sustained during Super Bowl LVI while with the Los Angeles Rams.
When Beckham was a free agent last offseason, up to 12 teams indicated interest in him, but the three-time Pro Bowl pick has received little attention thus far in free agency.
