Fabrizio Romano confirms Milan will soon complete deal for ‘talented’ midfielder

According to Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan is on the verge of renewing Primavera captain Kevin Zeroli’s contract.

Zeroli made his Serie A debut this season, coming on in a 1-0 win over Sassuolo on December 30 due to a goal from Christian Pulisic, and it was an emotional moment for a player who grew up a fan of the club in Busto Arsizio, around 35 kilometers from Milan.

Since then, he has not been seen much, owing to Milan’s fully fit midfield department, with the exception of Tommaso Pobega, who is still recovering from surgery, but his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, claimed last month that a permanent move to the first team is on the cards.

Zeroli was the hero from the penalty spot again yesterday, as Milan Primavera defeated Real Madrid 4-3 in a shootout following a 1-1 draw in normal time to advance to the UEFA Youth League final four for the second consecutive season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the good news does not end there, as Milan is “close to signing a new contract with 2005-born talent Kevin Zeroli”. Talks are ‘progressing nicely with his agent Rafaela Pimenta’.

He adds, ‘Negotiations are beginning, and it is likely to be finished shortly since Milan trusts him for the present and future’.
