Milan now leading the race to sign €25m Champions League sensation

AC Milan has surpassed Inter in the fight to sign Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal ahead of the summer, according to a Spanish newspaper.

Milan are known to be long-time admirers of Kiwior, having been linked with a move for him while he was at Spezia, and it appears that desire has never faded.

According to Fichajes, Milan has been in direct touch with Arsenal for some time to try to reach an agreement on the Polish central defender, with the Rossoneri continuing to pursue a loan deal with the option to buy.

However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is opposed to loaning Kiwior out, let alone on a loan with a purchase option. They may, however, contemplate a loan with a purchase obligation, which would provide guaranteed funds.

Milan and Arsenal are still in talks, seeking to reach a deal that fits both of their needs. The potential of a transfer with conditional clauses could represent a turning point in the negotiations, allowing Kiwior to seal the transaction.

He joined Arsenal from Spezia for €25 million last summer, and he has played 711 minutes in 16 games this season.
