According to multiple rumors, AC Milan is considering hiring Jovan Kirovski, a guy that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is well familiar with.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ibrahimović’s first step as Senior Advisor to RedBird Capital could be to include the figure of Kirovski. The former LA Galaxy technical director lured Zlatan to MLS in 2018 and maintains a tight contact with the Swede.
Kirovski has already visited Milan and had direct touch with the Rossoneri. He could play a role that involves him moving between the youth sector and the first squad. In the coming weeks, the parties will continue to discuss the situation to determine whether or not it can be resolved.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) confirms the news and says that Ibrahimovic would assign the 47-year-old a ‘high job in the club’s sporting sector’. He hopes Kirovski will join him as a sporting reference figure.
Thus, the management would undergo an initial shift in response to Gerry Cardinale’s requests. Geoffrey Moncada, the former head scout, now serves as technical director, while Antonio D’Ottavio is officially the sporting director.
A prospective addition of Kirovski would inevitably result in the revision of various hierarchies. Kirovski appears to be Ibra’s man, despite the fact that MLS and Serie A are vastly different leagues.
It remains a significant task for both of them, one that the Swede enjoys.
