Newcastle United man now told he has no future at St. James’ Park

Isaac Hayden, a QPR midfielder, has been told he has no future with his parent club Newcastle United.

According to Chronicle Live, the 28-year-old will be free to leave the Magpies this summer.

Hayden is presently on loan in the Championship with QPR, where he has made seven league appearances since signing in January (all data via Fbref).

Martí Cifuenetes relies on the veteran player to prevent relegation to League One.

Hayden played the first half of the season on loan at Standard Liege, making only 10 appearances before moving to the second level of English football.

According to reports, Hayden’s future is away from his parent club Newcastle, with the top division team looking to move him at the end of the season.

The Premier League club hopes to reduce its pay cost this summer, therefore they will consider bids for the Englishman.

Hayden is thought to be paid £50,000 per week and has a contract until the summer of 2026.

It remains to be seen whether QPR will make a permanent offer for the player this summer, with any decision from Loftus Road likely to be delayed until their league status for next year is determined.

The club has climbed out of the Championship relegation zone, but their future in the second tier remains uncertain.

If they can avoid relegation, it might pave the way for a permanent move to QPR this summer.

However, his £50,000-per-week wages are likely to be a stumbling barrier in any potential trade, even if Newcastle makes him available at a low cost.

Whatever the case with QPR, it is evident that Hayden’s future lies outside of St. James’ Park, which may open the door for other Championship clubs to make a permanent approach in the summer.
