AC Milan is already planning for the summer, and one of the top goals is the defensive department. An major signing is expected, with Alessandro Buongiorno being the top target, but it may require some sacrifices.
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan is still interested in signing Buongiorno, having made an attempt in January. The price tag is very expensive, set at €30 million, and the Rossoneri will try to reduce it by including some rivals.
For the time being, the most likely possibilities on that front are Lorenzo Colombo, who is on loan at Monza, and Jan-Carlo Simic. This season, the striker has scored four goals for Raffaele Palladino’s team, while the centre-back has impressed when given the opportunity by Stefano Pioli.
Although Buongiorno is an excellent centre-back, most fans will be disappointed with the inclusion of Simic in the transaction. Given his age (18), the Serbian has demonstrated that he has the potential to be a fantastic player, and it would be a shame to give that up so soon.
It’s also possible that Milan will just include one of them in the deal, with Colombo being the most likely, especially given the Rossoneri’s plans to buy a striker.
