Newcastle United receive ‘huge’ transfer boost to sign ‘Incredible’ 22-year-old

Newcastle United’s summer transfer intentions may have just received a significant boost following recent news about one Premier League club.

Newcastle were reportedly interested in Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey in January, but the Birmingham club refused to entertain a mid-season sale.

However, with the current report indicating that Villa’s wage budget has eclipsed Newcastle’s and the club is in a difficult financial situation, Ramsey could be a feasible alternative for them to sell.

Newcastle have a chance of signing £50m midfielder

In the most recent window, it was expected that a cost of £50 million would be sufficient to entice Ramsey away from Villa, particularly to a Premier League competitor that is direct competition for Europe.

Newcastle were never going to pay that in January due to a lack of cash, but the situation may be very different for the two teams as they enter the summer window.

Following a season of heavy spending, Villa have surpassed Newcastle in terms of pay bill and announced a total loss of £119.6 million.

If they want to bring in additional players during the summer, someone will have to leave.

There is no apparent choice for the Villans, who are in with a solid chance of finishing in the Champions League this season, but given Ramsey has only started half of his games, he could be a viable alternative for them to cash in on.

Ramsey is the type of player Eddie Howe loves

Since taking over as Newcastle manager in 2021, Eddie Howe can be proud of the fantastic work he’s done to improve players who were already at the club or who he chose to sign.

The best examples are Joelinton, who moved from one of the league’s worst scorers to one of the top midfielders, and Anthony Gordon, who has seen an incredible metamorphosis under his supervision.

Ramsey, who is already a great player at the age of 22, might be the next man Howe integrates into his structure and helps develop into a Premier League hero.

The young man has an abundance of energy, which is essential for playing in this Newcastle team, is technically skilled, and is not hesitant to put his body on the line to win a tackle.
