The seven Newcastle players ‘set’ to leave club ahead of contract decisions

Eddie Howe asserts that each member of his Newcastle United team has the chance to secure a fresh contract with the club. Currently, several players are nearing the end of their contracts, with five facing expiration by the end of the season.

While discussing the contract status, Howe mentioned that discussions, and possibly decisions, have been ongoing regarding individual players. However, he emphasized that every player currently in the squad has the opportunity to continue with the team next season, irrespective of their contract situation. Howe clarified that no final decisions have been made about any player not being offered a new contract.

Recently, Bruno Guimaraes, Callum Wilson, Fabian Schar, and Lewis Miley have all penned new deals, while Emil Krafth’s tenure has been extended until 2025. Howe also highlighted the importance of securing Joelinton’s future, expressing it as a top priority. Joelinton’s contract expires in 2025, and Howe believes retaining him long-term is crucial, particularly due to his unique qualities and contributions to the team’s dynamics.
