Burnley Makes Revelation Ahead of Bournemouth Clash

Johann Berg Gudmundsson understands Burnley must respond and improve their performance when they face Bournemouth at the weekend.
The Clarets’ bad form continued with a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend.

It means Vincent Kompany’s side has gone eight league games without a win, and the gap to safety has grown to 11 points.

The time for discussion has passed, and Gudmundsson understands the Clarets must respond against the Cherries on Sunday afternoon.

“We’re never going to give up,” he assured Clarets.

“We understand we’re in a difficult situation, but we’re going to learn from our mistakes in this game and improve our performance in the next one.

“We’re still playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, and we have to enjoy that sensation.

“But when you’re losing games for a long period of time it can be really tough.”

Gudmudnsson went on to say, “We need to come together in training again and give it our all every day. There is nothing else that we can do.

“We work really hard throughout the week to put on a performance, but we know the previous two performances, well, the one against Arsenal was certainly not good enough, but the Palace one was difficult to accept.

“There’s nothing more to do. We’ll be down tonight and possibly tomorrow, but Monday begins a new week, and we’ll take it from there.”
