Newcastle United has announced that a match will be rearranged.
However, on this time, it is for the best of reasons (rather than Sky Sports or TNT Sports dictating it).
That thrilling victory over Blackburn means Newcastle United will be in FA Cup quarter-final action on the weekend of Saturday 16 March, necessitating a new date for their home Premier League fixture versus Palace.
Newcastle United official announcement – 28 February 2024:
The draw for Newcastle United’s Emirates FA Cup quarter-final opponents will take place on Wednesday night.
United defeated Blackburn Rovers in the fifth round on Tuesday, winning 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw after extra time at Ewood Park.
And Eddie Howe’s team will find out who they will face in the final eight on Wednesday, with the draw taking place at 7pm GMT, shortly before the evening’s four remaining fifth-round matches.
