Newcastle United now ready to pay €60m for ‘fantastic’ 22-year-old

Real Madrid loom as a formidable obstacle for Arsenal and Newcastle United, who are ready to meet Takefusa Kubo’s €60 million release clause.

According to reports from Fichajes, Premier League sides Arsenal and Newcastle United are both prepared to splash out €60 million to secure the services of Takefusa Kubo.

Despite interest from several English clubs in the 22-year-old La Liga winger, they will have to navigate around the considerable challenge posed by Real Madrid.

Kubo has had a standout season with Real Sociedad, contributing four assists and six goals in La Liga.

With his stellar performances, Kubo has attracted attention from various well-known teams, inevitably leading to significant interest in securing his talents.

Among the suitors are Newcastle United, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City, with Arsenal and Newcastle United particularly willing to activate the €60 million release clause in Kubo’s contract come summer.

Real Sociedad won’t impede any club that triggers this clause, potentially opening up opportunities for English teams. Some English clubs may view this as an enticing chance.

Kubo might opt to bide his time, considering offers from clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United, aware that his future could lie beyond La Liga. Should Liverpool lose Mohamed Salah, they could also enter the race for Kubo.

At present, Kubo appears more drawn to Arsenal than a struggling side like Newcastle United.

Despite the eagerness of Premier League teams to secure Kubo, the dominance of Real Madrid in La Liga presents a significant challenge to clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle United.

As a former Madrid player, Kubo’s contract includes advantageous clauses for the club. For instance, they could sign him for half of his €60 million release clause, with rumors suggesting additional sell-on clauses.

This situation may prompt Real Madrid to consider re-signing the 22-year-old winger and then potentially selling him for a profit, should they seriously weigh the interest from other clubs.
