AC Milan is already planning for the summer, with some changes expected, and a few names have been floated. In addition to Bologna leaders Joshua Zirkzee and Thiago Motta, the Rossoneri have included Lewis Ferguson on their roster.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan is looking for both Motta and Zirkzee to rebuild the teams as Stefano Pioli prepares to leave the club. Alexis Saelemaekers is also on loan with the Rossoblu, which might allow for a’maxi-operation’, according to the article.
In addition to the duo, Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio also have high regard for midfielder Lewis Ferguson. During the January transfer window, when Pioli was looking for a midfielder, they mentioned Giorgio Furlani.
Bologna paid €3.5 million for him from Aberdeen, and he is now expected to cost at least €25 million, with a contract expiring in 2027. Milan is keeping a careful eye on the issue, knowing that a major operation may be in the works.
It should be emphasized that the Rossoneri have kept an eye on Ferguson for quite some time. Back in March, we asked his agency about the interest, but he didn’t reveal anything. But one thing is certain: Milan scouts have watched both him and Zirkzee extensively.
